A two-game win streak had those associated with the Badger Lightning girls high school hockey co-op feeling good going into last weekend but the Lightning saw the door slam shut in a 6-0 loss to Black River Falls in Baraboo on Friday night.

Back-to-back trips to La Crosse last weekend resulted in a win and a loss for the Reedsburg Beaver girls basketball squad. The Beavers kicked off the weekend with a convincing 65-40 win over La Crosse Logan Friday before suffering a 53-40 loss Saturday vs. La Crosse Central.
