RV wrestlers return to the mat

The River Valley High School boys varsity wrestling team began their season this past week with a meet against fellow SWC team Lancaster at home. Lancaster won the dual 57-21.  Individual results for the meet are: 106: Jamin Crapp (LANC) over (RIVA) (For.). 113: Devin Tydrich (LANC) over (RIVA) (For.). 120: Owen Yoose (LANC) over Braden Prochaska (RIVA) (Fall 1:20). 126: Joe Esser (LANC) over (RIVA) (For.). 132: Jackson VanNatta (LANC) over (RIVA) (For.). 138: Jimmy Jennings (RIVA) over Remington Bontreger (LANC) (Dec 4-2). 145: Cole White (RIVA) over Michael Ihm (LANC) (Fall 0:43). 152: Dustin Tydrich (LANC) over Landon Radtke (RIVA) (Dec 1-0). 160: Keeghan Kjos (RIVA) over Isaac Oyen (LANC) (Fall 3:32). 170: Bryce Galle (LANC) over Ethan Alt (RIVA) (Fall 1:16). 182: Ryan McCartney (LANC) over Evan Alt (RIVA) (Fall 1:00). 195: Allen Cohen (LANC) over Luke Pape (RIVA) (Fall 1:32). 220: Jackson Gilbert (RIVA) over (LANC) (For.). 285: Synger Runde (LANC) over Jacob Bindl (RIVA) (Fall 1:18). Dan Machovec and T.J. Wunnicke return this year as head coaches. The next meet for the boys is an away dual with Sparta High School on Tuesday, December 15.
