Girls basketball closes out season

The River Valley High School varsity girls basketball team played their final game of the season this past week against Big Foot. River Valley was down 28-8, rallied, and narrowed the gap to 31-21. However, the girls ran out of steam and lost 47-31.  River Valley was led by Brooklyn Stokes with nine points and Lexi DeViney with eight points.  This was the first regional game of the year and with the loss it ended River Valley’s season. River Valley finished fifth in the SWC with a conference record of 2-8. Their overall record was 3-22.
