Wrestling Hall of Fame members inducted
Terry and Sue Maxwell were inducted into the hall of fame after being a part of the River Valley wrestling family for over 30 years. They started purchasing their state wrestling tickets in 1993 and have continued to do so to this day. They also created the Terry “Max” Maxwell Scholarship in remembrance of him to support other students at River Valley High School.

The individual wrestler being inducted into the Hall of Fame was John Pronold. Pronold was the first River Valley wrestler to win a match at the state tournament. This was even more impressive considering he didn’t start wrestling until his junior year.
The 2024 River Valley Wrestling Hall of Fame inducted a new class of honorees not long ago. First was the 1989 State Championship Team. This team won conference, regional, and sectional tournaments that season before winning the state meet. The team was coached by Mike Hogan. Several of the team members were present to accept the award, including some current River Valley staff.
