Baseball Vanguards go 0-3 on the week

Wisconsin Heights’ baseball team dropped all three of its games last week. The Vanguards fell to 1-7 overall and are 0-3 in the Capitol South Conference. “We have been hitting and fielding collectively really well,” Heights manager Ted Severson said. “But over the course of these three last games we have issued 29 free passes while only getting three bases on balls ourselves as a team. “I firmly believe in our young men. We are a talented team and when our pitching gets on track, we will be a force in the second half of the season.” Here’s a recap of the Vanguards’ week. • Cuba City 10, Wisconsin Heights 3 — Reed Adler went 1-for-3 with an RBI double and a run scored in a losing effort on April 15.
