Heights golfers compete in mini-meets

The Wisconsin Heights boys golf team competed in a pair of Capitol Conference mini-meets last week. Heights finished eighth out of eight teams in a meet held at Lodi Golf Club on April 22. Cambridge won that meet with a 157, while the Vanguards shot a 198. Sophomore Greyden Schomber led Heights with a 46, while junior Luke Herrling shot a 47. Junior Theo Glemain added a 51 and junior Logan Duhr shot a 54. Heights then placed seventh out of eight teams at a conference mini-meet held at House on the Rock Resort last Thursday. Cambridge won the eight-team event with a 164, while Heights shot a 200. Herrling led the Vanguards with a 46, while Schomber carded a 48. Both Duhr and Glemain added 53s. • Soccer: The Wisconsin Heights/Barneveld girls soccer team went 0-1-1 last week. Heights dropped a 1-0 decision to Dodgeville/Mineral Point on April 15. The Vanguards then tied Lakeside Lutheran, 1-1, on April 18.
