Eagles’ boys lacrosse team drops a pair

Sauk Prairie’s boys lacrosse team dropped a pair of games last week. The Eagles fell to top-ranked Waunakee, 9-1, on April 29. Sauk Prairie then dropped a 10-1 decision to Madison on May 3, In the Eagles’ loss to Waunakee, sophomore attacker Kaleb Chetwood had a goal, while senior midfielder Isaiah Torres had an assist. “It was great to see our boys fight the full 48 minutes against the best team in the state,” Sauk Prairie coach Zach Lare said. “The lone goal came on a great cross field feed from Isaiah Torres to Kaleb Chetwood, who was on the backside and able to take a quick shot.” In Sauk Prairie’s loss to Madison, sophomore midfielder Josh Mast scored on an assist from senior midfielder Will Judge. “Like with the first time we played Madison, they dominated the ground ball game, which was the big difference in momentum for this game,” Lare said. “The defense played better from the first game, which was great to see.  “There were some good looks offensively. We just need to start capitalizing on some of them.”
