Eagles’ swimmers off and running

Sauk Prairie girls swimming team began the season with a fourth place finish in the five-team Blue Division at the DeForest Invite last Saturday. The Eagles also finished fifth in the five-team Red Division and fifth in the five-team White Division. Here’s a recap of the Eagles’ top-five finishes:   WHITE DIVISION • Joslyn Schultz was third in the 50-yard freestyle. • Mo Spann was fourth in the 500-yard freestyle. • Amelia Kitelinger was fifth in the 200-yard freestyle. • Isis Hayes-Morales was fifth in the 200-yard IM. • Spann was fifth in the 100-yard butterfly. • Kitelinger was fourth in the 100-yard freestyle. • Kylee Ballweg was fifth in the 100-yard backstroke. • Addisyn Ranzenberger was fifth in the 100-yard breaststroke.   RED DIVISION • Ava Handschke was third in the 500-yard freestyle. • Natalie Ballweg, Ava Handschke, Claire Handschke and Mo Spann finished fourth in the 200-yard medley relay. • Claire Handschke was fourth in the 100-yard butterfly. • Isis Hayes-Morales was fifth in the 100-yard freestyle. • Claire Handschke was fifth in the 200-yard freestyle. • Ava Handschke was fifth in the 200-yard IM. • Ballweg was fifth in the 50-yard freestyle. • The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Addisyn Ranzenberger, Joslyn Schultz, Amelia Kitelinger and Hayes-Morales was fifth. • Ballweg was fifth in the 100-yard backstroke. • Schultz was fifth in the 100-yard breaststroke. • The 400-yard freestyle relay team of Ranzenberger, Hayes-Morales, Kitelinger and Schultz was fifth.   BLUE DIVISION • Kaylee Oleson won the 100-yard breaststroke and was second in the 100-yard freestyle. • Alyssa Himebach was third in the 50-yard freestyle. • The 400-yard freestyle relay team of Himebach, Natalie Klein, Ava Flanagan and Oleson was third. • Klein, Oleson, Flanagan and Himebach were fourth in the 200-yard medley relay. • Ava Flanagan was fourth in the 200-yard freestyle and fourth in the 100-yard backstroke. • Klein was fourth in the 500-yard freestyle. • Klein was fifth in the 200-yard IM. • Himebach was fifth in the 100-yard butterfly. • The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Spann, Natalie Ballweg, Claire Handschke and Ava Handschke was fifth.
