Heights boys XC team 10th at Darlington Invitational

The Wisconsin Heights/Barneveld boys country team finished in 10th place at the 15-team Darlington Invitational last Saturday. The Vanguards’ girls were 14th out of 14 teams. Fennimore won the boys race with 99 points, while Heights/Barneveld finished with 208. Vanguards standout Kirk Caminiti was third individually, finishing the 5,000-meter run in 17 minutes, 57.60 seconds. Travis Dreikosen was 20th (19:33.71), Noah Droescher was 29th (19:49.70), Andrew Murray was 71st (21:56.10) and Isaac Prochaska was 96th (23:37.40). On the girls’ side, Tirzah Caminiti was the Vanguards’ top finisher with a 48th place showing (26:05.80). Eliza Gordon was 61st (27:36.60), Natalie Wilson was 75th (28:53.60), Sofija Lang was 77th (28:56.20) and Brisa Nicholes was 88th (31:51.50).
