Eagles’ swimmers third at Baraboo Relays

Sauk Prairie girls swimming team finished in third place at the five-team Baraboo Relays last Saturday. Monona Grove won the team title with 430 points, while Onalaska was second with 266 points. Sauk Prairie was third (180), Black River Falls was fourth (166) and Baraboo was fifth (94). The Eagles’ foursome of Kate Himebauch, Ava Flanagan, Alyssa Himebach and Kaylee Oleson won the 500-yard freestyle relay. Sauk Prairie’s quartet of Alyssa Himebach, Natalie Klein, Flanagan and Oleson won the 400-yard freestyle. Sauk Prairie’s 200-yard freestyle relay team of Himebach, Klein, Flanagan and Oleson was second. The Eagles’ 200-yard medley relay team of Flanagan, Oleson, Klein and Himebach was also second. The Eagles’ 200-yard medley relay team of Amelia Kitelinger, Lauren Uselman, Spann and Joslyn Schultz was fourth. The quartet of Ballweg, Addisyn Ranzenberger, Claire Handschke and Ava Handschke was fifth. The 300-yard backstroke relay team of Uselman, Gracia Bare, Ballweg and Kitelinger was fifth. And the Eagles’ 300-yard butterfly relay team of Ballweg, Ranzenberger, Claire Handschke and Ava Handschke was fifth. The Eagles’ 200-yard medley relay team of Ballweg, Ranzenberger, Klein and Bare was fifth. Himebauch, Handschke, Spann and Kitelinger teamed up to finish sixth in the 200-yard medley relay. The Eagles’ 300-yard breaststroke relay team of Uselman, Josyln Schultz, Ranzenberger and Ava Handschke  • Sauk Prairie 91, Stoughton 76 — The Eagles defeated the Vikings in a  Badger Small Conference dual meet on Sept. 10. Sauk Prairie won eight of 11 events, including two of the three relays. The Eagles’ 200-yard medley relay team of Ava Flanagan, Kaylee Oleson, Kate Himebauch and Alyssa Himebach finished first. Sauk Prairie’s 400-yard freestyle relay team of Flanagan, Himebach, Natalie Klein and Oleson was first. And the Eagles’ 200-yard freestyle relay team of Klein, Natalie Ballweg, Josyln Schultz and Mo Spann was second. Individually, Klein won the 200-yard freestyle, while Claire Handschke was third. Himebach won the 200-yard IM, while Handschke was third. Flanagan and Schultz were second and third, respectively, in the 50-yard freestyle. Flanagan won the 100-yard butterfly, while Klein was third. Himebach won the 100-yard freestyle, while Oleson and Handschke were second and third, respectively, in the 500-yard freestyle. Ballweg won the 100-yard backstroke and Alemia Kitelinger was third. And Oleson won the 100-yard breaststroke, while Handschke was third.
