Swimmers fall to Vikings

Sauk Prairie’s girls swimming team was edged by Mount Horeb, 86-84, in a Badger Small Conference meet on Oct. 15. Sauk Prairie’s 400-yard freestyle relay team of Kaylee Oleson, Kate Himebauch, Ava Flanagan and Alyssa Himebauch were first, while the quartet of Gracia Bare, Natalie Klein, Natalie Ballweg and Ava Handschke was third. The Eagles’ 200-yard freestyle relay team of Alyssa Himebauch, Kate Himebauch, Flanagan and Oleson finished first. And in the 200-yard medley relay, the foursome of Ballweg, Handschke, Addisyn Ranzenberger and Klein finished first, while the quartet of Lauren Uselman, Joslyn Schultz, Mo Spann and Amelia Kitelinger was third. Alyssa Himebauch won the 200-yard IM and Flanagan won the 50-yard freestyle. Flanagan also won the 100-yard freestyle and Klein was second. Handschke won the 100-yard backstroke and Schultz was third. Kate Himebauch was second in the 100-yard butterfly and Alyssa Himebauch was second in the 100-yard breaststroke. And Klein was third in the 200-yard freestyle.
