Swimmers cruise by Vikings

The Sauk Prairie/Wisconsin Heights boys swimmers rolled past Mount Horeb, 127-6, on Jan. 7. The Eagles’ 200-yard medley relay team of Reid Rinabarger, Connor McQueen, Caleb Gregg and Adam Kaukl was first, while the quartet of Levi Shadewald, Quintin Larsen, Ethan Goodman and Jacob Klein was second. The foursome of Brayden Birkett, Finn Sutherland, Wilson Ederer and Alexander Dorr won the 200-yard freestyle relay. And in the 400-yard freestyle relay, the team of Klein, McQueen, Shadewald and Goodman were first, while the quartet of Rinabarger, Ian Quayle, Kaukl and Gregg were second. Rinabarger and McQueen were first and second, respectively, in the 200-yard freestyle, while Goodman, Sutherland and Brayden Birkett went 1-2-3 in the 200-yard IM. Kaukl, Gregg and Klein finished first, second and third, respectively, in the 50-yard freestyle, while McQueen and Evan Schultze were first and second in the 100-yard butterfly. Gregg won the 100-yard freestyle, while Shadewald and Klein were second and third. In the 500-yard freestyle, Sutherland and Schultze were first and second. Goodman won the 100-yard backstroke, while Rinabarger and Birkett were second and third. And in the 100-yard breaststroke, Kaukl, Shadewald and Larsen went 1-2-3.
