Jean G. Varley

Jean G. Varley, age 76, of Reedsburg, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 19, 2026 at home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on July 11, 1949 in Madison, Wisconsin, one of the triplets (Jean, Jane and Janice) to John and Alice (Ennis) Sebranek of Wonewoc.

Jean was united in marriage to Owen Varley on June 27, 1970 at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Union Center.

Survived by her husband of 55 years, Owen; daughters, Tara Chaney of Mukwonago and Tracy (Adam) Olson of Big Bend; grandchildren, Sidney of Chicago, Isaac and Isabelle of Big Bend; sisters and brothers, Mary Barbieri of Middleton, Tom (Jean) Sebranek of Fitchburg, Pat (Judy) Sebranek of Madison, Jane Kelley of Wonewoc, Janice (Dennis) Dreischmeier of Wonewoc and James (Carol) Sebranek of Reedsburg and numerous nieces and nephews to who she was known as “Great Jean.”

Jean always put her loved ones first.

A family interment will take place at a later date at the Prairie Home Cemetery in Waukesha, Wisconsin.
