Zanthia Jean Losic

Zanthia Jean Losic
Zanthia Jean Losic was born on November 7, 2003, in Reedsburg, Wisconsin, the daughter of Lindsay M. (Gates) Loomis and Jeremiah J. Losic. She was a 2022 graduate of Baraboo High School and was a student at the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater.
She was a caretaker by nature. She was a “mother hen” to her friends, always willing to help and care for those around her. She never met a stranger and had a special ability to make everyone feel welcome. Family was very important to Zanthia, and she especially cherished the time she spent helping care for her younger brothers. One of her favorite things was getting together for coffee with Grandma.
Zanthia enjoyed coloring, putting together LEGO sets, karaoke, and singing. She also loved shopping and had a wonderful enthusiasm for life. Her caring nature, infectious personality, and wonderful sense of humor will be fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her mother, Lindsay Loomis (Amanda Plata); her father, J. J. Losic (Erin Zirbel); her stepfather, Jarrid Loomis; her siblings, Zaranna Losic, Quade Luke, and Arley Losic; her boyfriend, Lucas Phillips; her aunts and uncles, Jayme (Dillon) Roller, Josh (Peggy) Losic, Jai (Stefanie) Gates, Amber Jay (Brad Mumm), and Starra Kosak; numerous cousins; and her grandparents, Charlene Collins, Paul and Kathy (Zirbel), and Patricia and Daniel Kosak.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Gregory Gates; Robert Losic, and Tim Collins; her great-grandmother, Jean Ziech; great-aunt, Angie Ziech; and uncle, Adam Zirbel.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Reedsburg EMS group, Agrace Hospice, and the staff at UW Children’s Hospital in Madison for the wonderful care and compassion given to Zanthia and her family throughout the last couple years.
A Celebration of Zanthia’s Life will be held on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg, with Jayme Roller of Trinity United Parish officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the UW Children’s Hospital Cancer Center.
