The River Valley School Board will hold a regular meeting on Thursday, February 13, at 7 p.m. at the River Valley Middle School library, 660 W. Daley Street, in Spring Green.
The race for Wisconsin’s Superintendent of Public Instruction starts February 18th with a three-way non-partisan primary between candidates Brittany Kinser, Jeff Wright and incumbent Jill Underly. As the executive head of the Department of Public Instruction (DPI), the superintendent has broad authority and powers over Wisconsin’s schools.
Seven Village of Arena residents are competing for six trustee slots in the primary election on Tuesday, February 18. They are Brittany Carney, Don Helt, Steve Wilkinson, Tara Hill, Kevin Reimann, Joseph Hipsky and Kathy Stoltz. They were contacted and asked to respond questions posed by the Home News.

The Spring Green Village Board, in open session following closed session, passed a motion to proceed as discussed in closed session. The closed session, held with village attorney Eric Hagen, was called to discuss the building inspector’s report on Ellis “Skip” Pifer’s home at 433 W. Madison Street.
