School board votes to close ELC at the end of the year

The Early Learning Center  (ELC)in Plain will close at the end of this school year, a significant reduction in costs for the River Valley School District. Board members voted at their December meeting to close the school, which houses 4K and 5K classes.

Festival of Trees is in Lone Rock

The Lone Rock Historical Society has announced the 2024 “Festival of Trees” on Saturday, December 14, with all activities to be held in the community building. This year’s historic ornament, pictured, is of the school walking path in honor of the 161  years of public education in Lone Rock. There will be an 8 a.m.

Spring Green Village Board: Caucus date set for Wed., Jan. 8

The Village of Spring Green caucus will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2025. At their meeting last week, the board set the date. Terms are expiring in April for village president Robin Reid and trustees David Saperstein, Jennifer Snow and Jeannie McCarville.
