Eagles’ hockey team cruises by Stoughton

The Sauk Prairie co-op hockey team rolled past Stoughton, 10-3, on Jan. 23. The Eagles — who also have players from Mount Horeb, Barneveld, River Valley and Wisconsin Heights — improved to 9-10 overall and 5-4 in the Badger Conference. Brock Hill and Ryan Rickard both had two goals and an assist for the Eagles. Connor Grant had a terrific night with one goal and four assists, while Quinn Payne had a goal and two assists. Landon Froese had a goal and an assist, while Josh Mast, Jacob Wiegmann and Kash Caldwell all had goals, as well.  Gunnar Nachreiner had three assists, Rowan Krauss had two assists and Benjamin Hanko added an assist. Sauk Prairie led, 5-0, after the first period and extended that advantage to 8-0 midway through the second period before the Vikings scored. Corbin Domka and Maddox Wood split time in goal for the Eagles.
