Bring on the postseason

Brooks Behn and the Wisconsin Heights/Barneveld boys soccer team finished the regular season with a pair of wins. Heights/Barneveld defeated Prairie du Chien, 4-0, on Oct. 14. The Vanguards then downed Watertown Luther Prep, 3-1, on Oct. 15 and finished the regular season 7-6 overall. The Vanguards now hope to take that momentum into the postseason. Heights/Barneveld received the No. 9 seed in its WIAA Division 4 sectional and will travel to eighth-seeded Central Christian Thursday at 7 p.m. for a regional semifinal. If the Vanguards win there, they’d travel to top-seeded Lake Country Lutheran for a regional final Saturday. The sectional semifinals are Oct. 31 and the sectional finals are Nov. 2.
