Vanguards’ boys XC team eighth at Riverdale Invite

The Wisconsin Heights/Barneveld boys cross country team finished in eighth place at the 19-team Riverdale Invitational on Oct. 12. Boscobel won the team title with 68 points. The Vanguards finished with 228 points. Travis Dreikosen led Heights/Barneveld with a 15th place finish. He completed the 5,000-meter course in 17 minutes, 45.20 seconds. Kirk Caminiti was 32nd (18:21.0), Noah Doescher was 47th (18:41.90), Mason Durst was 66th (19:12.80) and Trevor Owens was 75th (19:34.90). The Vanguards’ girls were 11th out of 16 teams. Lancaster won the team title with 43 points, while Heights/Barneveld had 296 points. Izabel Durst led the Vanguards with a 42nd place finish (22:30.70). Eliza Gordon was 67th (23:59.70), Bela Muschitz was 69th (24:01.40), Brisa Nicholes was 71st (24:12.50) and Tirzah Caminiti was 76th (24:28.30).
