Sauk Prairie’s girls spikers cruise past McFarland

Sauk Prairie’s girls volleyball team defeated McFarland, 25-21, 25-14, 21-25, 25-19, on Sept. 19. Greta Shadewald had 26 assists in the match and eclipsed 1,000 assists for her career. Shadewald added four aces. Mallory Hartwig had 17 kills and 11 digs, while Gracyn Meyer had seven kills and three blocks.  Alaina Kraemer had five kills, while Marisa Kruckman added 12 digs and Ella Logterman had five blocks. Sauk Prairie then competed at the Milwaukee Sting Invite last weekend hosted by Sussex Hamilton. The Eagles went 4-6 overall against some of the state’s toughest teams. • On deck: Sauk Prairie was at Madison Edgewood Tuesday, then hosts Baraboo Thursday at 7 p.m.
