Sauk Prairie swimmers fall to Edgewood

Sauk Prairie’s girls swimming and diving team fell to Madison Edgewood, 128-42, in a Badger Small Conference dual meet on Sept. 3. The Crusaders won nine of 11 events on their way to the win. Kaylee Oleson led the Eagles with first place finishes in the 100-yared breaststroke and the 100-yard freestyle. Sauk Prairie’s 200-yard medley relay team of Ava Flanagan, Oleson, Kate Himebach and Alyssa Himebach was second, while the Eagles’ 400-yard freestyle relay team of Natalie Klein, Alyssa Himebach, Ava Flanagan and Oleson was also second. Sauk Prairie’s 200-yard freestyle relay team of Klein, Natalie Ballweg, Addisyn Ranzenberger and Mo Spann was third. Individually, the Eagles received fourth place finishes from Alyssa Himebach in the 200-yard freestyle and the 500-yard freestyle, Ava Handschke in the 200-yard IM, Flanagan in the 50-yard freestyle and the 100-yard butterfly, and Ballweg in the 100-yard backstroke.
