Eagles’ XC teams 3rd at Norski Invite
Sauk Prairie’s boys and girls cross country teams both finished in third place at the DeForest Norski Invite on Sept. 4.
DeForest won the boys race with 28 points. Waunakee (50), Sauk Prairie (108), Reedsburg (109) and Janesville Parker (161) rounded out the top five.
Waunakee won the girls’ race with just 18 points, while Berlin (55), Sauk Prairie (83), DeForest (126) and Beaver Dam (128) rounded out the top five.
In the boys’ race, Sauk Prairie junior Jacob Wiegmann was 11th overall, finishing the 5,000-meter course in 18 minutes, 38.58 seconds. Junior Austin Smith was 18th (19:17.44), senior Charlie Endres was 19th (19:41.84), senior John Fabian was 23rd (20:01.16) and junior Carson Tucker was 42nd (20:42.77).
In the girls’ race, senior Ziah Been was seventh (22:10.18) and junior Clarissa Brickl was 11th (22:29.62). Sophomore Evelyn Bahe was 14th (22:50.80), senior Lainey Dillon was 15th (22:58.59) and freshman Maya Dischler was 24th (23:17.72).
