Reedsburg sneaks past Sauk Prairie

Reedsburg’s Home Talent League team edged Sauk Prairie, 3-2, on June 16. Right fielder Spencer Alisch led Sauk Prairie’s offense, going 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBIs.  Jake Wegner earned the win for Reedsburg, allowing one hit and no runs in three innings. Wegner also struck out two and walked two. Austin Pagel took the loss in relief for Sauk Prairie. Pagel worked one-third of an inning, surrendering two runs (one earned) on no hits, while walking four and striking out none. Connor Leister worked the first six innings for Sauk Prairie. The right-hander surrendered five hits and one run over six innings, struck out four and walked three.  Alisch’s first inning home run gave Sauk Prairie an early lead. Reedsburg used a two-run seventh, though, to eventually prevail. • On deck: Sauk Prairie hosts Wisconsin Dells in a doubleheader Sunday, with start times at noon and approximately 2:30 p.m.
