Five Vanguards earn spots on all-conference team

Wisconsin Heights’ girls softball team had five players earn all-Capitol South Confer-ence honors. Sophomore Vanessa Wagner was named first-team all-conference and also was named the Vanguards’ Defensive Player of the Year. Sophomore Haley Wipperfurth was named second-team all-league and was also named the Vanguards’ Offensive Player of the Year. Sophomores Izzy Sutherland and Avery Graham were both named second-team all-Capitol South, while sophomore Maya Luko was named honorable mention all-conference. In addition, the Vanguards handed out two team awards.
