New scoreboard is a joint effort

  Julie Jensen, Executive Director of the Spring Green Area Chamber of Commerce, led an effort to get a big show board in the new (west) gym at River Valley High School. After I traveled to the surrounding schools to watch my daughter play basketball, and seeing the electronic scoreboards,  I wanted RVHS to get their own big board to show off our amazing school and students!” she said.  She began a conversation with then district business manager Brian Krey about steps to take to get one. Krey did the research and Jensen found 10 local businesses to sponsor the scoreboard by donating the funds needed. The chamber also donated to the cost, nearly $73,000. (Contributed photo)
