Cherney shares Conference Player of Year honors in girls hoops


Reedsburg’s Sydney Cherney (#22) was named as Badger Small Co-Player of the Year in girls basketball after she led the state in scoring at 34 points per game and in rebounds at 18.5 per contest. Cherney is a three-time All-Conference first-team player and will also be a three-time All-State selection in D-2 by the WBCA. (Reedsburg Independent file photo)

It’s not exactly breaking news that Reedsburg’s Sydney Cherney has been one of the top players in the Badger Conference in girls basketball in recent years, especially in this just completed season.
