Eagles’ wrestlers sixth at Black River Falls Invite

Sauk Prairie’s wrestling team finished in eighth place at the 22-team Black River Falls Invite last Saturday. Sauk Prairie’s Max Schroeder finished first at 106 pounds to lead the Eagles. Logan McIntyre was also third at 215, while Lane Albers was fourth at 190 and Curtis Hankins was sixth at heavyweight.

Beaver boys basketball gets underway this week

Coach Ty Horkan’s first season at the helm of the Reedsburg Beaver boys basketball program was a frustrating one at times. The Beavers played some good basketball during the course of last season but came up short in many close games, leading to an 8-18 overall record.

Beaver girls hoopsters improve to 2-1 with win over Wisconsin Rapids

The first three games of the season are in the books for the Reedsburg Beaver girls basketball team and two of them have not been decided until the final seconds. Fortunately for the Beavers, Reedsburg emerged as the victor in both of them, including a 55-52 win over Wisconsin Rapids last Tuesday at RAHS.

It would have to be labeled as a good start to the season for the RWD Miners boys hockey team as the Reedsburg/Wisconsin Dells/Mauston co-op played three games on the opening week with a lot of new faces and some inexperienced players and still came away with victories in two of the three contests.

Weston boys basketball opens season with strong start

To say there were plenty of positives for the Weston Silver Eagles in the boys hoops season opener last week would be an understatement. Weston kicked off the 2024-2025 season in impressive fashion with a rout of the Wonewoc-Center Wolves, 64-39, in Wonewoc last Tuesday.
