Kevin P. Wolosek, age 66, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away at his home on January 16, 2025. Kevin was born on April 23, 1958, to Eugene and Geraldine (Wieden) Wolosek. A memorial service will be held at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church on Friday, January 31, 2025, at 11 a.m. Visitation will take place from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service. Kevin graduated from Lincoln High School in 1976 and went on to study business at UW-Madison, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration majoring in accounting. He began his accounting career at Alexander Grant & Company in Madison where he met his future wife, Mary Murphy. He continued his studies achieving his CPA Certification. In late 1983, he and Mary moved to Wisconsin Rapids to join his father’s CPA practice. Kevin and Mary eventually acquired the business, and Wolosek & Wolosek CPAs operated successfully for 29 years until it was later sold to KerberRose SC in November, 2020. Kevin retired from the business in 2023 after providing years of highly respected tax and business consulting services always with expertise, patience, and a ready sense of humor. Those who know Kevin will remember him for his love of the outdoors. His favorite places to be were either in a boat fishing or in the woods hunting. He especially enjoyed annual hunting trips to Montana and fishing trips to Canada. Kevin was also an avid golfer and a member of Bullseye Country Club for many years. He enjoyed cheering on his favorite Wisconsin sports teams and valued being a longtime season ticket holder to Badger football games. He was the life of the party at family gatherings and enjoyed goofing around with his beloved nieces and nephews. Kevin loved dancing to local live music, playing bags with his sons and playing canasta, euchre, and various other card games with his family. A recent favorite adventure was a family trip to Europe to visit his brother Brian and family in Portugal which then continued to Lourdes, France, resulting in many great memories. Kevin was a loving husband and father who cherished his extended family deeply. He was a loyal friend, having developed close friendships with many clients and business associates he came to know over the years. Kevin is survived by his loving wife Mary of 37 years; his sons Lucas and Jacob; siblings Chad Wolosek, Amy (John) Laird, Brian (Lauren) Wolosek; in-laws Pat and Karen Murphy, Ray and Marcia Ring, Steve Murphy; his many nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
