Eugene Fyrl “Gene” Reynolds

Eugene Fyrl “Gene” Reynolds, 91, passed away January 22, 2026.  He was born in 1934 in Reedsburg, the 4th child and only son of Fyrl and Ruby (Mundth) Reynolds.  Gene grew up in their family with his sisters: Shirley, Irma and Irene.  All have preceded him in death as did their spouses.  Gene married Joan Goehring in 1957.  She preceded him in death in 2019, after 62 years of marriage. 

Gene retired from Proctor & Gamble after a long career as a technology services manager.  He enjoyed photography, singing in the Sounds Fantastic Men’s Chorus, and playing the trumpet.   In his later years, he was active with UWGB’s Learning in Retirement Program.  

He is survived by his 5 children, Steven (Amy) Reynolds, Lynn (Abraham) Anderson, Thomas Reynolds, Paul (Gina) Reynolds, and Jonathan (Sondra) Reynolds.  He loved and was proud of his 10 grandchildren, Alaina, Samuel, Ethan, Jesse, Clara, Cleo, Isabel, Kosta, Eva, and Alex; and five great-grandchildren, Maximus, Roman, Sage, Chester, and Eilah.  

Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 30th at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., Green Bay.  There will be a closing prayer at 5:00 p.m.  A memorial fund has been established for the Presbyterian Pantry.  A Memorial Service and Musical Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at First Presbyterian Church where he was a member.  To read the entire obituary and leave online condolences visit www.prokowall.com.
