The 2021 Weston baseball team held its season ending awards day last week. Weston was 4-8 for the Ridge and Valley Conference season. On June 21, the Weston School District Board presented its Celebrate Weston Award to WRCO Radio. Accepting the award were Ron and Beth Fruit, owners of Fruit Broadcasting. The station has supported the district by promoting sporting events, community activities and student organizations. It has also sponsored many clubs, organizations and causes. The Reedsburg Beaver track and field teams celebrated the 2021 spring season with its awards banquet recently at RAHS. The girls placed third in the conference meet and sent Hailey Campbell and Sykora Stanek to the WIAA State Meet two weeks later. The boys placed fifth in the conference meet with Bryant Yanke winning conference titles in the 110 hurdles and 300 hurdles and alter qualified for State n with events as well. Viking Liquor raised $21,831.29 during its bourbon auction on June 26. The event was held during a grand re-opening to celebrate remodeling. The funding will go toward the Reedsburg splash park. So far, funds raised for the park have topped $353,979.
