Reedsburg Area Medical Center Foundation purchased two new chairs for patients receiving chemotherapy at Reedsburg Area Medical Center. They were bought due to donations that came through the foundation from businesses, industries and individuals. Members of the Beaver varsity boys golf squad are pictured here along with Head Coach Mark Johnson at the team’s season ending awards banquet. Reedsburg placed third in Badger North this year and once again, advanced their full team to WIAA Sectional play. This year’s award winners are Ethan Schneider as Rookie of the Year, Zach Bestor and Nic Nobbe as co-winners of Most Improved Player with Brett Crary recognized as Team MVP. Hal LeMaster, a fifth grader in Katie Corbin’s class at Prairie Ridge Intermediate School, was the Sauk County winner for the AITC Essay Contest. The topic was How Have Wisconsin Soybean Farmers Fueled Wisconsin’s Economy. The contest was open to all fourth and fifth graders across Wisconsin. In Reedsburg, seven fifth graders participated from Prairie Ridge, and another seven fourth graders were from Mike Rocha’s class at Sacred Heart School.
