Bridget Marie Handel (Kuehn)

Mosinee--Bridget Marie Handel (Kuehn), 48, passed away Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Born on December 20, 1975, in Madison, she was the beloved daughter of Joe and Koreen (Kay) Kuehn. Bridget spent most of her life in the Black Earth area but embraced life with a spirit of adventure, moving to Colorado for a time before returning to Mosinee, Wis., to begin making beautiful lakeside memories with her boys.  Bridget graduated from Wisconsin Heights High School in 1994 and continued her education at St. Paul Technical College. She owned a dog grooming business where she got to do what she loved every day – working around animals and talking with customers. Much of her life was centered around her children. Bridget loved her boys, Mason and Kayden, who were her daily inspiration and the source of her strength. She poured love and energy into every moment spent with them, always dreaming of new adventures and experiences to share. Whether crafting in her art room or planning an RV trip, Bridget’s imaginative spirit lit up the lives of those around her. Her kind heart and giving personality made her special in that she was always willing to help others closest to her. She had the strength, determination, and, of course, a list to make life work. Bridget is survived by her cherished sons, Mason and Kayden Handel; her loving sisters, Kristi Kuehn and Kerri (Jeff) Sarbacker; along with nieces and nephews, Zachary Halom, Justin, Jordyn, and Jaron Sarbacker; as well as her dear friends, Becca, Britt and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Kay Kuehn. The family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to Marathon County EMS and the medical team at Aspirus Wausau Hospital for their compassionate care and support. A graveside service will be held at ST. FRANCIS XAVIER CATHOLIC CEMETERY, Cross Plains, at 1 p.m. on Friday, December 20, 2024. In honor of Bridget’s spirit and dedication to helping others, memorial contributions may be made to the Dane County Humane Society.
