Marsha L. Marty Marsha L. Marty, age 57 of Madison, and formerly of Spring Green, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at SSM at St. Mary’s Health Care Center following an extended illness. She was born on December 14, 1966, the daughter of Philip and Mary Rita (Moran) Marklein. Marsha graduated from River Valley High School in 1985 and graduated from Madison Area Technical College (now Madison College) with an associate degree in accounting.  Marsha worked as an accountant for Madison area businesses until her illness forced her to quit. She was married on October 2, 1999, to Philipp Marty. Survivors include her husband, Philipp Marty of Madison; her mother, Rita Marklein of Spring Green; four sisters, Kathleen (Joseph) Loy of Fennimore, Coreen Marklein of Baraboo, Mary (Bryan) Reeve of Spring Green, Karen Marklein of Spring Green; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her father, Philip Marklein; and her parents-in-law Dr. Philipp and Marjorie Marty.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church in Spring Green with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11:30 a.m. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Marsha’s memory to a charity of your choice.
