Dear editor, I live on one of those “funky little alleys” in Spring Green.  We have nine residences and seven garages on our alley.  From mid-December to mid-March the north half of our alley is a treacherous sheet of ice which makes it impossible for dogs or people to walk there. We also regularly get potholes because there is so much traffic.  Paving our “funky” alleys would make our lives better. Judy Davis Spring Green   Dear editor, On behalf of the River Valley School District Endowment Board, we would like to acknowledge and thank everyone who helped make our annual Homecoming Tailgate celebration a success. Those individuals and organizations include Cedar Valley Preserve for their beer donation, Irene and Eric Rapp for the use of the Post House Garden, Wynn and Mark Dedrick for their ongoing support, Janna Johnson Fuchs for her wonderful music and enthusiastic messages about the endowment, and the Spring Green Village Board for approving the street closure, allowing our attendees to expand onto Jefferson Street.   Of course we wouldn’t have had a successful event without all of the River Valley alums and other visitors who attended.  Everyone had a great time, and were also very generous on behalf of the endowment.  All of the money raised will be used toward grants for the enhancement of the educational experience of RV students.  Thanks to all.
