Dear editor, On behalf of the American Red Cross, we would like to extend a sincere thank you to the River Valley community for their wonderful response for our August 6th drive. A total of 75 blood units were collected of which two were from brand new donors.  We always struggle with collections during the summer months, especially right before school, but with these donations there is the potential of saving 255 lives.  We are sure that everyone can think of a loved one or friend that has received blood at one time or another.  Why not donate in honor or memory of them?    We would like to thank Christ Lutheran Church for generously providing us with the use of their facility.  All of our donors received a coupon for a free pint of frozen custard donated by Culver’s of Spring Green and a t-shirt from the Red Cross. It was a great night with an awesome turnout and we are grateful to all of you for your continued support. We especially sent thanks to Mark and Wynn Dederich and their staff for hosting this event.
