Obituary: Peter Sweeney

Peter Sweeney, age 81, a long-time resident of Reedsburg passed away August 12, 2024 of natural causes at his home in Reedsburg.

Peter was an active Christian devotional writer with three books to his credit. He had a small tax preparation business in Reedsburg serving his clients conscientiously. Peter was a member of New Life Assembly of God church in Reedsburg. He also was active in the Reedsburg Legion.

He is survived by his brother Tim of Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his wife Jean Knuth of Port Washington and his parents, Tom and Marian Sweeney.

At his request there will not be a memorial service. He will be returned to Port Washington to be laid to rest with his wife Jean. Online condolences may be made at www.grassefs.com. Grasse Funeral Service in Reedsburg is serving the family.
