Reedsburg's Sydney Cherney named All-State 2nd Team


Reedsburg senior guard Sydney Cherney was named All-State second team in girls basketball by Associated Press as announced last week. Cherney had the best season, statistically, of any girls player in the state this season, leading the state at 34 points per game, and in rebounds at 18.5 per game while averaging 6.5 assists per contest which put her near the top of the state list in that category as well. When you have a season like the one Reedsburg’s Sydney Cherney enjoyed on the basketball court, it warrants plenty of recognition and more honors were bestowed upon Cherney last week.
