Reedsburg's Alonso plays for Mallards league


RAHS alum Edison Alonso is enjoying his summer as a member of the Madison Mallards baseball team in the Northwoods League. Alonso completed his first season of D-1 baseball at the collegiate level this spring at Indiana State University where he hit .261 with a home run and seven runs batted in 16 games, including 10 starts. Alonso is believed to be one of the very few players from Reedsburg ever to play college baseball at the D-1 level. (Madison Mallards photo)
