Reedsburg Beaver girls tennis season awards announced for 2020

Those associated with the Reedsburg Beaver girls tennis program celebrated their season with an awards day and get-together Saturday at Webb Park. Reedsburg conducted a dual-match only schedule this year in the midst of the pandemic and posted a 5-5 record with one draw in a singles-only match with DeForest.

Beaver volleyball can’t solve Sauk-Prairie at RAHS last week

Reedsburg has had trouble with the Sauk-Prairie Eagles on the volleyball court this year. The Beaver girls suffered a second loss this season to the Eagles last week, dropping a 3-1 decision in four sets at RAHS.

Beaver football team loses lead late and the game in Tomah last week

The Reedsburg Beaver football team showed marked improvement from week one to week two this season, rebounding from a disappointing loss to Portage with a lopsided win over Sauk-Prairie. The Beavers took a step backwards last week, however, losing a 28-24 decision at Tomah as Reedsburg fell to 1-2 for the 2020 high school football season.

After earning a tie against a state-ranked Sauk-Prairie team the previous week, those associated with the Reedsburg Beaver boys soccer program felt good about chances of earning the first win of the season last week in matchups vs. Portage and Watertown.

Onward and upward for Eagles

Sauk Prairie’s girls tennis team had three players advance through the WIAA Badger Subsectional Monday. Senior Olivia Joyce, who plays No. 3 singles, along with the Eagles’ No. 3 doubles team of junior Faith Holler and freshman Ava Andres all advanced to the Oconomowoc Sectional, which will be held Wednesday.
