A young crew for Reedsburg Beaver girls golf is becoming familiar with varsity level play with numerous early season competitions in the books already.

River Valley opened the high school football season for 2025 last week Thursday at Evansville and although the final results weren’t what Coach Tyler McCain was hoping for, a 29-6 loss in non-conference play, there were some positives to build upon going forward.

It’s a big week for the Reedsburg Beaver cross country teams with the first competition of the season on Saturday at the Iowa- Grant Invitational.

The girls program looks to a new leader with Amber Larson taking over as the head coach of the program after Boys Coach Aaron Roden was in charge of both squads last season.

Wonewoc/Center/Weston Head Coach Jake McGlynn and his staff knew week one would be tough for the Silverwolves football team against a physical and veteran North Crawford squad in eight-man football at Weston High School Thursday.

River Valley High School girls swimmers again will join Lodi and Wis. Heights this season in a three-school co-op with the first meet set for this Thursday in Lodi against Verona.

This season is the final one for the Wonewoc-Center/Weston Silverwolves co-op football team as the Silverwolves get ready for Thursday’s season opener at Weston High School at 7 p.m. vs. North Crawford.

A new era begins for River Valley Blackhawks football this season as Tyler McCain takes over as head coach.

The Floggers team continues to lead the Monday Night Men’s Golf League standings at the Reedsburg Country Club.

The Floggers team has 1,319 team points for the season.

Culver’s was second at 1,268, followed by First Weber at 1,264 points in third place.

A season that began over three months ago came to a close last week for the Reedsburg Pirates baseball team. Reedsburg had an early lead but could not hang on in a 5-2 loss to Cross Plains last Thursday in round two of the Night League Playoffs at Nishan Park.
