Wisconsin DMV cautions car buyers about buying flood-damaged vehicles


August floods led to a lot of ruined vehicles in Wisconsin. Car shoppers should beware, as some of these vehicles may have ended up on the market. Be sure to do extensive checks on any vehicle you plan to buy to ensure it doesn’t have any flood damage. (Photo from Wisconsin DMV)

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation’s Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) reminds consumers and dealers who are buying a used vehicle to check it carefully for potential flood damage. Water may cause mechanical or electrical issues and affect the overall safety of the vehicle.
