It was a full week wait between matches for the River Valley Blackhawks boys soccer team, but it may have been worth it in the end as the Blackhawks routed Coulee Christian 7-0 on Saturday. The seven goals were far and away a high-water mark for the season as R-V has now won 10 of their last 11 matches coming out of the weekend.

The River Valley Blackhawks had one final tune-up on the cross-country course prior to Thursday’s SWC Meet with their participation in the Annual Riverdale Invite at Muscoda.

The River Valley/Lodi co-op girls swim team won the title among five teams at Saturday’s Platteville Invite. River Valley/Lodi scored 571 team points, well ahead of La Crosse at 420, followed by Platteville/Lancaster at 322 with Edgerton/Evansville fourth and Portage was last.

Conference play within Badger Small came to a close this past week for the Reedsburg Beaver volleyball squad, who was home vs. Fort Atkinson Tuesday before hosting the full-day, eight-team Badger Small Tournament on Saturday at RAHS.

The Reedsburg Beaver Football team entered Friday’s MVC football game with a 4-3 record for the season. In all four wins, the Beavers had won by 33 points or more but in the three losses, Reedsburg lost by seven points or less. Friday’s Homecoming game vs.

RAHS freshman Mya Drager was a WIAA D-1 Sectional qualifier in girls tennis this season in her first year of high school play at flight one singles but her season came to an end on Wednesday with a loss in round one of the Sun Prairie West D-1 Sectional against Milena Halberg of Sun Prairie West, 6-1 and 6-0 as Halberg advances to WIAA State Tou

In a season of tight, down to the wire finishes that went River Valley’s way, the Blackhawks football team suffered its first loss in a close game on Friday night.

Eric Briehl was chosen as the Ted Lins Wall of Fame recipient for 2025. He received the award recently at River Valley's Homecoming football game. Eric has dedicated an extraordinary 52 years to education. His career spans three school districts: Seven years at Highland, 22 years at Potosi, and 23 years at River Valley.

For the second time in four weeks, the Wonewoc-Center/Weston Silverwolves co-op football team enjoyed a win on Friday night with a 34-20 victory at Kickapoo/La Farge, spoiling Homecoming week at Kickapoo High School.
