River Valley’s winning ways continue on soccer field

It was a full week wait between matches for the River Valley Blackhawks boys soccer team, but it may have been worth it in the end as the Blackhawks routed Coulee Christian 7-0 on Saturday. The seven goals were far and away a high-water mark for the season as R-V has now won 10 of their last 11 matches coming out of the weekend.

Platteville Invite team title goes to River Valley/Lodi co-op swim team

The River Valley/Lodi co-op girls swim team won the title among five teams at Saturday’s Platteville Invite. River Valley/Lodi scored 571 team points, well ahead of La Crosse at 420, followed by Platteville/Lancaster at 322 with Edgerton/Evansville fourth and Portage was last.

Conference play within Badger Small came to a close this past week for the Reedsburg Beaver volleyball squad, who was home vs. Fort Atkinson Tuesday before hosting the full-day, eight-team Badger Small Tournament on Saturday at RAHS.

Beaver football pulls out overtime win in Homecoming game

Mya Drager falls short of WIAA State Tennis for Reedsburg

PHOTO: Briehl inducted into Hall of Fame


Eric Briehl was chosen as the Ted Lins Wall of Fame recipient for 2025. He received the award recently at River Valley's Homecoming football game. Eric has dedicated an extraordinary 52 years to education. His career spans three school districts: Seven years at Highland, 22 years at Potosi, and 23 years at River Valley. At River Valley, Briehl continued his leadership, serving seven years as elementary principal, nine years as athletic director, and eight years (to present) as a dedicated substitute teacher and supporter of River Valley athletic events. Briehl has been an active community member, volunteering countless hours with the River Valley Booster Club, organizing concessions and leading fundraising efforts, including their annual golf outing. He was honored as Athletic Director of the Year in both 1997 (Potosi) and 2015 (River Valley). Briehl lives in Spring Green with his wife, Jane. Together, they have two daughters, Taylor and Emily, both graduates of River Valley High School. (River Valley School District photo)

Silverwolves earn 2nd win on football field

For the second time in four weeks, the Wonewoc-Center/Weston Silverwolves co-op football team enjoyed a win on Friday night with a 34-20 victory at Kickapoo/La Farge, spoiling Homecoming week at Kickapoo High School.
