I shall not be lunching in the park for the foreseeable future. My intrepid park buddies are pretty durable, good down to about 20 degrees. But it just isn't possible to be comfortable sitting around outside in these single digit days.

There was apparently a time when weather never kept kids from school.

Readers visiting Wisconsin Newspaper Association websites said they were optimistic about the next four years.

Out of nearly 670 respondents, 64 percent said they were positive about the next four years. Twenty eight percent were pessimistic, and seven percent were unsure.

On December 14, 2020, the Wisconsin Supreme Court ruled against President Donald Trump’s challenge to Wisconsin’s 2020 presidential election.  Undeterred, Trump has since considered adopting a practice of tin-horn tyrants—declaring martial law and having the military redo the election.

Now that Democrats have carte blanche for governing and legislation, I think you and they would do well to remember your obligation to the people of Wisconsin and the nation.

Each year, I eagerly await the Agricultural Economic Outlook Forum that is hosted by the Renk Agribusiness Institute at the University of Wisconsin Madison. This forum is always a terrific way to see the data side of agriculture in Wisconsin. It also provides a view of the potential for the future of this important economy.
