The lovely early flowers of the springtime woods are called spring ephemerals, ephemeral because they bloom for such a short time, vanishing when the trees around them leaf out and block the sunlight. Here in Wisconsin, spring is ephemeral, too.
Brian Brown just doesn’t get it. Racial prejudice is so ingrained in some folks that they just don’t know they have it. The phrase “people of color” bothers him.
