The residents of the Macktown Senior Citizen Condominiums of Reedsburg would like to thank the W.R. and Floy A. Sauey Family Foundation for its generosity. The Sauey Park on the corner of South Dewey Avenue and Maple Street is a welcomed addition to our neighborhood.
I met a kindred spirit in Mrs. Oriole the other day. She was flying along with her beak full of nesting materials. It looked like cottonwood fluff and fibers from a grape vine. As she passed, she spotted the bowl of grape jelly.
Well, they are all in the ground! All those little trees are finally planted, ready to take on life in their new homes. Thanks to the people who adopted some, leaving me fewer holes to dig, and thanks to the friends who helped me plant trees here. With considerable help, I have seen 125 little trees into their permanent homes.
The year 2021 was a unique year for Sauk County Rural Safety Days. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s event was held virtually. We had nearly 1,100 third and fourth graders (last year’s third grade who missed the event due to COVID-19) participate this year.
