As a father and grandfather, I am very upset by the news that Gov. Evers is advocating for the legalization of marijuana in the upcoming Wisconsin Budget. However, this does not surprise me as Democrats are promoting this at the federal level also.
It is time for another “How Dumb Do They Think We Are” letter...except the events of the past week are so horrifying that I can’t even come up with a smidgen of humor in any of it. I’ll start with (ok, a bit of humor) Matt Gaetz. Enough said? Then what about Jim Jordan? Enough said, there, too.
April 24 is officially National Prescription Take-Back Day. It is a day set aside to encourage the collection and disposal of unused, expired and unwanted prescription drugs in a safe way.
We are all just trying to do the best we can. Some people have more resources within themselves and can reliably behave with kindness and patience. Others of us are operating on the edge of being overwhelmed and irritability is never far away.
The lovely early flowers of the springtime woods are called spring ephemerals, ephemeral because they bloom for such a short time, vanishing when the trees around them leaf out and block the sunlight. Here in Wisconsin, spring is ephemeral, too.
Brian Brown just doesn’t get it. Racial prejudice is so ingrained in some folks that they just don’t know they have it. The phrase “people of color” bothers him.
