I had a chance to travel through time with Paul Wolter of the Sauk County Historical Society. Paul came to talk with me about one of the early owners of the land where I live. In 1851, this land was purchased by Aahucoga, or Blue Wing, a chieftain in the Ho Chunk tribe.

Letter: Let's end congressional gerrymandering in Wisconsin

On February 19th, 2024, Governor Evers signed new legislative district maps into law that were much fairer than the previous gerrymandered maps. The following elections resulted in a more balanced Legislature. That is a good thing. Wisconsinites support fair maps.

Letter: Do not ban mail-in voting

As a life-long Wisconsinite, I have been proud to be a voter, firmly believing that every vote matters, and that we have not only a right, but a duty to vote. It is part of being a responsible citizen.
