It’s always risky for high school spring sports teams in Wisconsin to schedule games in March as Mother Nature often wins out as field conditions usually don’t allow these contests to be played.

After just one week of pre-season practices with a few players gone due to Spring Break, the Reedsburg Beaver Boys Tennis Team will open its season this week with a non-conference dual at RAHS.

Reedsburg ventured to UW-La Crosse for indoor competition Saturday as the high school track and field season continued with the Mauston Golden Eagle Invitational. The boys placed second in team scoring, behind only Holmen, in a 20-team field with the girls eighth of 19 overall with Holmen the champion there as well.

Reedsburg posted a 9-14 overall record on the softball diamond a year ago and the Beavers are hopeful that win total can increase in 2024 as Reedsburg is slated to open the regular season Friday, weather permitting.
