Getting their kicks

The Wisconsin Heights/Barneveld girls soccer team is off to an 0-3-1 start. The Vanguards earned a 1-1 tie with Lakeside Lutheran on April 18. Heights also dropped a 1-0 decision to Dodgeville/Mineral Point on April 15, fell 8-1 to Prairie du Chien on April 11 and suffered a 4-0 setback to Lake Mills on April 9.

Big win!

The DeForest co-op girls lacrosse team edged Sun Prairie, 13-11, last Friday. The team includes players from Sauk Prairie and Wisconsin Heights. Marianna Champagne led the way with six goals, while Alaina Kerl had four goals. Berlin Ganser added two goals and Melanie Lamberty had one goal. Goalie Kaylin Forsythe also shined with 22 saves.

Eagles’ tennis team drops three matches

Sauk Prairie’s boys tennis team three matches last Saturday during its trip to La Crosse. La Crosse Central toppled the Eagles, 6-1. La Crosse Logan then downed Sauk Prairie, 7-0, and Holmen defeated the Eagles, 6-1. The matches were played in 36-degree temperatures and a windchill of 28 degrees.

Ithaca/Weston girls tracksters win title at New Lisbon

Some hardware was brought home by the Ithaca/Weston co-op girls track team on Saturday after capturing the team title at the Mill Haven Invitational in New Lisbon. I/W was tops among 13 schools in the final team scoring.

Beaver boys win track and field team title in New Lisbon

After enjoying some success indoors, the Reedsburg Beaver Track and Field teams experienced their first outdoor meets of the season last week with three competitions in five days.

The first two dual meets are in the books for Reedsburg Beaver Boys Tennis which included a 4-3 loss to DeForest and a conference win, 5-2, at Portage.

Beaver Baseball remains unbeaten after 2 wins over Baraboo

The Reedsburg Beaver Baseball team now sits at 4-0 for the conference season and 5-0 overall after a pair of wins over the Baraboo Thunderbirds this past week by scores of 16-5 and 11-5.

Beaver golfers get underway with conference season

After dealing with postponement in week one of the regular season, the Reedsburg Beaver boys golf team opened up the regular season schedule and the conference schedule all in one with the first mini-meet of the Badger Small season as Mount Horeb hosted the eight schools from the conference in an 18-hole format last Tuesday.
