By the time this week is over, the River Valley Blackhawk girls basketball team will have two games in the books for this season as the 2025-2026 campaign gets underway.
It was a strong finish to the final season for the Wonewoc-Center/Weston Silverwolves co-op football team and Head Coach Jake McGlynn has announced the team’s award winners for 2025.
For the first time, a co-op in girls basketball at the varsity level will exist this season between Ithaca High School along with Weston High School after a JV only co-op last season. Head Coach David Klang loses three starters from last year’s 14-11 Ithaca squad but will still have some experience to build around this season.
Seven weeks ago, the Reedsburg Beaver football team was sitting with a 4-3 record and coming off a loss at La Crosse Logan with all three losses coming in frustrating fashion thanks to key turnovers, penalties and other self-inflicted wounds.
River Valley Blackhawks cross country 2025 was recognized recently as the program held its end of season banquet recently with Coach Steven Stettler announcing team award winners.
Boys basketball teams and wrestling teams from around the state at the high school level have already begun preparations for the upcoming season at various levels but the official start of the pre-season for those athletes is this week.

The Lodi/River Valley/Wisconsin Heights co-op girls swim team placed fourth in the recent conference meet in a field of nine schools, trailing only Edgewood, McFarland and Monroe/New Glarus in that order.

The Ridge and Valley Conference has announced the all-league volleyball teams for the 2025 season. Weston has a first-team player this season as sophomore Lexi Rockweiler earned the distinction for the first time in her career.
